Due to an incident, the planned visit to the test track has been rescheduled for Tuesday 10 July. We hope that everyone who booked previously will be able to make the new date. Anyone who cannot will be offered a full refund.

Any spare places will be allocated on the same basis as before.  Those interested in joining the visit and wishing to be added to the wait list are invited to contact Sylvain Jamais.

The visit will take place in the evening of Tuesday 10 July, starting at 18:15. We will assemble in the visitor car park at the entrance to the site where we will board a coach that will take us around the grounds and test tracks, leaving at 18:30. It will not be possible to join the tour after the coach has departed.  The visit is expected to last 90 minutes.

The address of the site is Millbrook Proving Ground Ltd, Millbrook, Bedford, MK45 2JQ.

Our host John Wilkinson, Manager, Vehicle Performance, will be our guide for the tour. What we will be able to see on the tour depends heavily on the activities of the moment and the security and confidentiality attached to those. Millbrook's test track facilities are custom built to simulate a wide range of road conditions including the world's toughest driving terrains, and have featured on TV shows such as ‘Top Gear’.

It is unusual for us to charge for an event, but in this instance, as we are providing the coach, we need to ask our guests to contribute a modest £10 per person towards the event.

We have a total of 34 places to offer and will do so on a first come first served basis. In case of oversubscription, we will favour Institution members.

We will aim to coordinate lift sharing; if you are able to offer, or require a lift to Millbrook, please state where you will be coming from.

Payment is required at the time of booking either by cheque or by BACS transfer, details of which will be advised.  In the unlikely event of cancellation or oversubscription, you will of course be fully refunded.

One small but important aspect is Millbrook’s strict ‘no camera’ policy.  We ask, for simplicity, that guests do not carry with them any device capable of photography (including mobile phones) and to leave these in their vehicles before boarding the coach.
