Hitachi Rail has done more than just introduce new trains to the UK, they have built depots, manufacturing facilities and re-located their rail headquarters to the UK!  Come and hear about the work being done to introduce and support the new Hitachi trains which includes:

  • Collaboration with other industry stakeholders
  • Traffic Management and Digital Railway
  • The supporting infrastructure - depots etc

You will also hear about the new teams that have been established in Milton Keynes:

  • The Software Development team, for Condition Based Maintenance
  • The Abellio ScotRail team
  • The Internal learning and development team

Our speaker, Nigel King is Head of Operations Support, Hitachi Rail Europe, with a portfolio that includes maintenance bidding, mobilisation, business systems and the operations project management office. Nigel Joined Hitachi in 2011 to run the 395 Javelin maintenance business in Ashford. Nigel has 25 years rail experience and has previously held depot, fleet and technical leadership roles within London Underground.
