RAIB - Investigating the Sandilands Tram Accident

This IMechE & IET joint talk will explain the role and workings of the Rail Accident Investigation Branch (RAIB), the UK's independent accident investigator for railways and tramways. It will then consider the tragic tram accident in November 2016 at Sandilands Junction, Croydon, to illustrate the range of work the Branch undertakes in order to understand the causes of accidents and to learn safety lessons from them.

Light refreshments will be available.
