    The Institution has a new as part of the inauguration, the incoming President presents an address. There is no prescribed subject for these and Presidents vary in what they choose for a focus, many have a strong autobiographical component, setting out what has influenced them to become engineers, but also what influenced them in their careers. Presidential addresses are published via IMechE website. This year we are delighted to have Carolyn Griffiths,who will present her address "All Change".

    Two speakers will address some aspects of Industry 4.0, international trends in system integration as well as case studies in Ireland. Eberhard Klotz, will address some of the trends occurring internationally and will give a comprehensive review on topics such as intelligent manufacturing, IoT and cloud manufacturing. Barry Kennedy is the CEO of Irish Manufacturing Research (IMR) and will present some of their work with Irish Industry related to the area.
