Welcome to the Spain Group

There is a newly-formed group based in Spain running regular activities throughout the country. 

The group supports any member who is living and/or working anywhere in Spain and is always happy to hear from potential new members and anyone with an interest in the Institution and engineering in Spain and worldwide.

Objectives

  1. To undertake such activities incidental to the achievement of the objects and purposes for which the Institution is constituted as may be considered suitable by the Council of the Institution
  2. To promote technical and professional development of members of the Institution residing in, or visiting, Spain, through meetings and other forms of communication, by encouraging members to prepare or discuss papers, through the study of local mechanical engineering practice, and through close coordination with the Institution’s Headquarters
  3. To achieve closer personal acquaintance and spirit of cooperation amongst Institution members in Spain
  4. To provide a local point of contact with indigenous engineering societies on all matters of mutual professional and technical concern
  5. To assist officers from the Institution headquarters in their contacts with European institutions and other engineering bodies located in Spain
  6. To actively seek to promote the status of engineering within Spain and the wider European community

Reducing CO2 emission through Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS)
