Welcome to the Eastern Region

Dear Members and Visitors to this page,

I am the Chair of the Eastern Region and our committee leads institution activities organised by the areas shown in the left hand panel. These activities include engineering related talks aimed at the non-specialist, on a variety of topics from enthusiast subjects such as ‘Triumph Motorcycles’ to strategic issues for the future, ‘Energy Generation and Storage’.  These talks are often in cooperation with other engineering institutions. Members of the public, school and College Students are welcome to attend.

Area committees organise activities with schools to raise awareness of Engineering and the Institution and to encourage pupils with an interest in engineering as a career.

I am requesting you to attend the events in your area, they are generally free and bring you knowledge outside of your speciality and help with your CPD, but above all these are enjoyable social occasions. Areas always welcome new committee members so please consider attending your area committee for a couple of meetings just see what goes on.

With Best Regards
