Welcome to the Bedfordshire Area

This site has the latest news, upcoming events and how to contact your committee, or even better join us, for all mechanical engineers in and around Bedfordshire.

We are always looking for feedback from our members. Whether it's suggestions of lectures, potential visits or more general comments, we'd like to hear from you.

We use email to inform our members about events. If you don't already receive these, please register your details and keep them up to date using the Institution's Member pages. You can if you prefer contact the Subscription Department on +44 (0)1952 214050 or at subscriptions@imeche.org.

Most events are free to attend, and open to members, guests and the public. Booking is needed for some events. Check the event listings for details.

Looking for activities in the Cambridgeshire area?

We have separated the Bedfordshire and Cambridgeshire Areas, so we can focus on providing full programmes of events local to engineers in both areas. You are still welcome to attend events in either area.

    The Shuttleworth Collection (Biggleswade) - Biggleswade, Bedfordshire
    This is the 118th Engineering Heritage Award being awarded by the IMechE. The Shuttleworth Collection would like to invite the local IMechE membership and general public to this prestigious celebration at 2.00pm on Saturday, May 19. The unveiling will be performed by IMechE Representative, Paul Lloyd, Chair of the Aerospace Division at IMechE.
