Description

A visit to the Dyson collection of vintage vehicles and machinery, including a working steam traction engine.

1918 Garrett 4CD steam tractor and vintage car

An opportunity to visit a small privately owned collection of vintage vehicles including a Garrett steam traction engine, several vintage/veteran cars and other vintage machinery. The visit will explain the working history and the technology used in each exhibit as well as a number of small demonstrations of how these older vehicles were used. If ground conditions permit there will be a chance for some members to have a short hands-on go with some of the vehicles.

Date: Thursday 14 June 2018

Time: Arrive after 18.30. Visit starts at 19.00. The event is expected to conclude around 20:30.

Venue: 3 Nelson's Lane, Haddenham, Ely, CB6 3UH (detailed directions will be provided to attendees who have booked.)

Free to attend. Limited places. Booking essential (If you have any difficulty booking, please email the names to cambsevents@imechenearyou.org)
