    Bloodhound SSC is a 130,000bhp, 6.5 tonne car with 47,000lbs of thrust which will reach 1000 mph/Mach 1.4 in 40 seconds - the rocket has a Cosworth F1 engine just to drive the fuel pump. Low speed runs (800 mph) are planned in South Africa in 2014 and this presentation will describe the latest design developments of this iconic British engineering project; inspiring both young and not so young!
