Engineering Entrepreneurship: A Case Study – Alex Schey

This talk will look at the particular challenges and opportunities associated with entrepreneurship in engineering, using Alex’s story as an initial case study. What does the future hold, and how might we be able to share our professional expertise with the next generation engineering entrepreneurs.

Alex Schey

A mechanical engineer by training, Alex is passionate about promoting entrepreneurship and STEM having given over 60 speeches at schools and universities in addition to 2 TEDx talks. Voted one of London’s 25 under 25 in 2013 by The Evening Standard, and one of Europe’s 30 Under 30 by Forbes in 2016.

Business, innovation and entrepreneurship inspire him, and he is constantly on the lookout for unique ideas and people to dream of the future with, and to make these dreams a reality. Alex has pursued several start-ups and projects in the past, and look forward to continuing this in the future.”
