The Civil Engineers’ Club have organised a guided walk in aid of SARAID starting at 10am from Café Nero, Oxford Circus on Saturday 17th February 2018.

The walk will pass several places of interest, including Piccadilly Circus, Trafalgar Square, St. James’ Park, the Institution of Mechanical Engineers & the Institution of Civil Engineers (with a visit inside).

 SARAID – Search and Rescue Assistance in Disasters – is a British charity dedicated to trying to save the lives of innocent victims of disasters. Funded only by donations they have deployed to Nepal, Haiti, Indonesia, Mexico and, more recently, the Caribbean in the aftermath of Hurricane Irma.

 The walk will be guided by Peter Heath, an Atkins Design Director. Peter has been a public realm improvement architect and town planner specialist for 30 years in the public and private sectors. He has been responsible with Atkins and others in partnerships, for many of the improvements along the route.
