The IMechE London South West Area and RAeS Heathrow Branch welcome Philip Rowles, the Vice President of Engineering at Martin-Baker Aircraft Company Limited, who will deliver a joint lecture that will explain the key technical challenges and the solutions employed in modern aircrew escape systems. 

Martin-Baker is the world’s leading supplier of aircrew escape systems, having supplied 53% of the ejection seats currently in service globally, and having saved over 7500 aircrew lives since the first life saved in 1949.

Philip graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering in 1994, Since than he has accumulated 23 years of experience in the aerospace industry, taking on roles of increasing responsibility in; analysis, design, project engineering, systems engineering, and engineering management.
