Kingston University’s Motorsport Division prides itself on the knowledge and experience it provides students. The success of each of the teams is a testament to the University and the staff who so generously offer their time, knowledge, and technical expertise to all students.

Team Ion Horse and its passionate team of enthusiasts have continuously worked hard to keep the project at the forefront of electric vehicle technology development, which is what has helped drive the team to its accomplishments, namely their 3rd place finish in the Isle of Man TT Zero in 2011 and achieving an incredible speed of 160mph in 2013. Now, in 2017, the team are hoping to make the latest edition of the Ion Horse even faster by making major upgrades to components, aerodynamics and the electrical system.

KU e-Racing is a relatively young Formula Student team, currently designing, and manufacturing, the 4th generation vehicle. After a pivotal season, and a complete reorganization of the team’s structure, the team is experiencing its most productive and effective season. Having implemented an elaborate succession plan, future members of the team have already been identified and are reaping the rewards of such a productive season. The team is aiming to maintain its position as one of the best UK electric team and exceeding previously set standards; leaving a defining legacy for future generations of the team.

You will have the opportunity to ask questions and discuss issues with the speakers and other member of the team throughout the evening.
