    Britain’s railways are the busiest they have ever been, with record investment by the government to maintain the existing railway it’s harder than ever before to keep up with soaring demand. HS2 aims to help meet this need, however for such a large project, its important that we learn from the experiences of other major rail projects in the UK. This talk aims to help unravel these experiences, and see how HS2 could benefit.

The second half introduces the Woman’s Engineering Society (WES), its aims, objectives and current projects to inspire women to reach their full potential in engineering.
