Description

Tata Motors European Technical Centre plc (TMETC-UK) provides research and development principally for Tata Motors Group Companies but also for selected partners in the automotive industry. TMETC has expertise in product design and styling, full vehicle engineering design including vehicle testing and homologation, programme management and product launch support.

TATA PIXEL ‘zero turn’ is one such exciting product to come out of TMETC’s end to end vehicle design and engineering capability. The challenge with this project was not just to make an automotive vehicle that can ‘zero turn’ (the point of Ackermann within the footprint of the vehicle), but to deliver this vehicle virtually with zero prototypes, i.e. the first one is the final fully functional demonstrator to be delivered to the customer.
