Greenpower Education Trust

Formula 24 & Goblins Day

North East

The Tyne Tees AD support a program with the Greenpower Education Trust in the North East. This involves working with several schools in the region on their Greenpower Goblin and Formula 24 race car projects, with students. Each project is supported via a mix of STEM, IMechE and corporate volunteers. It involves the design and build of a race car powered by electricity only. This event is a celebration of that. The teams get a chance to compete in various races and activities on the day.

Brief description

Volunteers are required to support the Greenpower Education Trust Formula 24 and Goblins Day at the Croft Racing Circuit. We expect 20 to 30 Primary schools from the region will participate. Roles for the volunteers include helping to set up and associated logistics, marshaling and scrutineer for safety, helping run the races and judging for various categories on the day. All instruction needed will be given on the day.

Please note this event is a STEM event as well, so if you attend it as a STEM Ambassador it counts towards your status of retaining STEM Ambassador position.
