Being able to effectively communicate is key in any industry and becomes increasingly important when communicating complex ideas or engaging with the public.

Join Susan Morrice & Angela Mathis, CEO’s at the forefront of Oil and Gas and Data Analytics, and Dee Lawlor, writer and British science ambassador for an evening of wisdom on the art and science of engaging at the highest level.

Dee Lawlor: Freelance STEM Writer and Consultant Technical Writer

Dee Lawlor is originally from Dublin and has a background in biology, microscopy and digital image analysis. Dee worked as a technical engineer for microscopy for several years and has a book on microscopy being published this summer. Her writing career started with writing articles for magazines and websites. Dee now works as a freelance STEM writer and consultant technical writer.

Angela Mathis: CEO ThinkTank Maths Ltd

Angela Mathis is Chief Executive and co-founder of Edinburgh-based ThinkTank Maths Ltd., a private company providing efficiency and innovation products to key industrial sectors leveraging high-level core skills in mathematics and related sciences. She is an elected Council member of ADS Scotland, the UK trade body for Aerospace, Defence, Security and Space, representing the Scottish SME membership. Angela’s professional history lies in international technology commercialisation.

Susan Morrice: Chairperson Belize Natural Energy Ltd & Director CHx and XJet

Susan Morrice, originally from Belfast, is Founder and Chairperson of Belize Natural Energy, International Natural Energy, Chx LLC and original investor/partner in XJet Private Aviation. It was through Susan’s gift of exploration, and her understanding of how to tap into the power of human potential that she was able to find oil in Belize where it was believed by all of the Majors in the Oil industry that there was none. Susan received the 2018 Norman H. Foster Outstanding Explorer Award of the AAPG, given in recognition of distinguished and outstanding achievement in exploration of petroleum.
