We aim is to bring you an informative and interesting programme of events relevant to the rail industry in Scotland. Presentation topics vary from the most modern developments in rolling stock and infrastructure to updates on major projects and interesting perspectives from the organisations that deliver the railway.
Events are open to all and they are completely free! The format is generally a presentation followed by an opportunity to pose your questions to the speaker. As well as broadening your knowledge of the industry our events are a great networking opportunity. A wine reception after the presentation gives you the chance to chat more informally with the presenter and other members of the audience whilst enjoying a free drink.
How can you get involved?
It's easy. Have a look at the Events Diary below and come along to an event that interests you. If you want to get more involved we are, of course, always happy to receive suggestions for presentations and speakers, ideas on how we could enhance our events and volunteers to join the committee that manages the Centre.
The Centre relies on support from donors to provide events and entertainment for free. If your organisation is interested in sponsoring an event please email us. This will raise the profile of your organisation within the rail industry and bring other benefits.
If you require more information or want to join our mailing list to receive regular updates on events please email us. Venue details can be found here.
Railway Engineers Forum Scotland
The Centre is a member of the Railway Engineers Forum in Scotland, a grouping of institutions with a strong railway interest.
