Description

Precision Polymer Engineering recognises that every sealing application presents its own unique set of challenges, so for one evening, we’re hosting a free Elastomer Sealing Seminar at the Robert Gordon University for IMECH members.
In an easy-to-digest format, you will get an introduction to elastomer sealing for critical oil and gas applications.
The seminar covers the most common causes of elastomer seal failures, examine real-life examples and provide practical recommendations for avoiding future problems with your seals.
This is a great opportunity for training in such a niche subject matter, learning essential knowledge you will use throughout your engineering career.
The evening will close with refreshments provided by 'The Breadmaker' and the opportunity to network.

Benefits of Attending:
Improved sealing performance through:
-  better seal and groove designs
-  optimal material selection

Which will lead to:
-  extended service intervals
-  increased efficiency
-  lower cost of ownership
-  better protection of capital equipment
-  more robust designs

Speaker(s)

After completing BEng (Hons) Computer Aided Engineering, Chris Allan moved into the Oil and Gas industry where he specialised on the design, development, testing and installation of Subsea Mooring Connectors. Following a PPE sealing course, Chris entered the niche world of elastomer sealing.
