Description

Supacat’s High Mobility Transporter (HMT) vehicle was designed to allow operators to choose where and how they drive and what to take with them, not governed by terrain or the normal rules of the road. Over the past 15 years, the HMT has delivered a step change in protected off road mobility and capability and as a result, it is in service with Special Forces around the world, as well as with regular troops in the UK MoD, where it goes by the name of Jackal and Coyote. In this highly visual presentation, Steve Austen, Supacat’s Engineering Director and Chief Engineer will run through the key features, development steps and some of the knockbacks that have created this global fleet of 1000 vehicles as well as the steps being taken to keep it at the leading edge of capability for the next 15 years

.

Steve Austen is Engineering Director and Chief Engineer for SC Group/Supacat. He is a Chartered Engineer, Naval Architect and Fellow of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers with 30 years’ experience in R&D, design, supply and support across the composites, defence and marine sectors.
