    In this presentation the prospects for activity levels in the UKCS to 2050 will be examined. The Wood Review makes recommendations on Maximising Economic Recovery relating to exploration, production efficiency, collaboration on cluster developments and third party use of infrastructure. The economic modelling undertaken by Professor Kemp will show the results of (1) substantial and (2) partial success of these recommendations for potential production to 2050.

    The Royal Scots Club - Edinburgh
    Eskdalemuir in the Dumfries and Galloway is the home of a seismic array that is used to listen for clandestine nuclear weapons tests. However, wind turbines produce ground vibrations that reduce the ability of the UK to detect nuclear tests with the seismic array. Dr Brett Mamo, a noise and vibratioin consultant, will talk about the seismic effect of wind turbines and the resolution to the Eskdalemuir wind energy controversy.
