    A tour of the West Sussex Recycling Centre - Open to West Sussex residents only This tour has been arrange by the Young Members committee. Priority goes towards the young members of the institution (member <10 years). If there are spaces left 1 month in advance, this will be opened up to all members. If you are not a young member but would like to register your interest please email susxsuryymchair@imechenearyou.org and you may be offered a space nearer the time.

    Three members of the Surrey & Sussex Young Members Committee will share their career experience as they transitioned from University to full-time employment. During the presentations, the three will use their experience to provide guidance, advice, tips and answer questions to the benefit of the audience.

    Team Sport Crawley - Crawley
    The Young Members have organised a social karting event in Crawley. Please join us for a mini-grand prix with trophies: 2 x 15 minute – 5 minute practice leads straight into a 10 minute qualifying session, the race is a 15 minute sprint to the chequered flag. The IMechE have kindly offered to support this event so members tickets are only £25! Please book and pay through the website to secure your space.

    Salvington Hill - Worthing
    High Salvington Windmill is an excellent example of a working post mill dating from approximately 1750.The mill has been extensively restored and was able to restart grinding in 1991. The tour will be led by two experience guides that have extensive knowledge about the restoration of the mill and its continued maintenance. Tea/Coffee and cake is included in the price of the ticket.
