Description

Thales is a key contributor to the London Underground Four Lines Modernisation (4LM) programme through its delivery of a modern signalling system. Working on the oldest underground lines (Circle, District, Hammersmith & City and Metropolitan) is no mean feat.

Join the Thales project delivery team for an overview of what makes this project so challenging, why it is important to London and learn a little bit about how modern metro signalling systems work. The event will take you on a journey through all aspects of the project, covering both the delivery strategy and some of the many constraints that working on a live railway introduces.

Please note that the event is for IMechE and associate institution members only – for security please bring personal ID for entry on the night. Please add your membership number when booking.

Speaker(s)

The evening will be hosted by Andrew Dalgleish, who is a project director for Thales, responsible for the leadership of the engineering team and delivery of the rolling stock and Metropolitan Line sections of the 4LM programme.
