Description

This talk presents a general overview of the effects of fatigue and fracture on engineering structures. The presentation will cover some of the key historical failures that have led to a better understanding of the subject.
A theoretical overview and the condition of resonance will also be discussed supported by examples. Finally, an example of the calculation methodology of how these phenomena are dealt with in today's modern aerospace avionics structures will be given.
