Description

The automotive propulsion system is undergoing a
period of change unprecedented since the start of
the 20th century. The need for clean, sustainable
and affordable mobility dictates a fundamental
change to the way we work as engineers.
This talk will consider some of the key factors
shaping the future of propulsion and introduce
some related research at Bath.
The future challenges for the engineering
development tool chain will be laid out, together
with the implications for experimental facilities,
engineering education and training.
Finally, Prof Brace will lay out the contribution that
the new Institute for Advanced Automotive
Propulsion can make to this agenda.
