This event will be hosted by:

Waterworks Museum Chairman, Richard Curtis (former Company Secretary of Dwr Cymru Welsh Water); and 
Emeritus Chairman, Dr Noel Meeke, who for over 20 years led the development of the Museum, which was recognised in 2009 when he received an MBE from the Queen.   

The event will commence with welcome and greetings from the site, followed by several speeches setting the context of Engineering Heritage Awards, the Waterworks Museum and the particular merits of The Worth Mackenzie Triple Expansion Engine. The plaque unveiling will take place followed by a speech by the local IMechE representative and closing comments from the site representative.  Networking time will end the event with afternoon tea. 

The Waterworks Museum will be open with free admission from midday on Sunday 18th March until 4pm. All engines will be in-steam from 1pm.

John Wood was the 125th President of the Institution, Chairman of the Engineering Heritage Committee, and was Chairman of Formula Student for 10 years. He has since been awarded an MBE for his services to Mechanical Engineering.
