Welcome to the Farnborough and Guildford Area

As always, your committee has been working hard to ensure we have an interesting and varied programme of events.

We usually publish events approximately 3 months in advance, but if you have received your programme card through your letterbox, you will notice that all the Area committees in the Thameswey Region are now publishing events a year in advance.

Our programme card is correct at the time of printing, but planning events so far in advance may result in unavoidable changes to our plans. Therefore, we strongly advise all our members to keep a keen eye on this website to make sure they have the most up-to-date details for all our events.

As always, we warmly welcome your feedback on this new approach to planning events. Please send us your comments.

Reaching our Members

In an age where it is easy to reach 'information overload', we are keen to understand the best way to reach our members. In addition to paper programmes, the newsletter, the website and event emails, we would like to know if you have any views about receiving information from your committee?

We currently have: a group on LinkedIn 'IMechE - Farnborough & Guildford Area', a face book page '/imechefandg' and a Twitter presence '@IMechE_FarnGfd'.  We are certainly not using these to their full potential so we'd love to hear your comments and ideas and if anybody can provide practical help please get in touch.

New Committee Members

We are always very pleased to welcome new members to our Area committee!

Do you want to meet new people? How about making new professional contacts to expand your network? Or would you like to do something to broaden your horizons, or support a CEng application? Volunteering for your local Area committee can provide all of these, and more! If you'd like to get involved, in any capacity, please contact your local committee.

Come and See Us!

I hope you enjoy our website, and can find all the information you need about your local IMechE Area panel. Thank you for visiting us, and I look forward to seeing you at one of our events soon.
