As vehicle emission targets become ever more stringent there is a significant role for aerodynamics to play in attaining these, but the role of aerodynamics is responsible for so much more than just drag reduction.  As the Computational Aerodynamics Technical Specialist at Jaguar Land Rover and a person who has been at the forefront of Ground Vehicle Aerodynamics for over two decades, Adrian Gaylard will provide an authoritative walk through of  "The Aerodynamic Development of the New 2017 Land Rover Discovery” and the methods behind this.  With the desire to continually refine passenger vehicles for occupants and deliver ever safer vehicles on the road, this talk will offer some insight into the role of aerodynamics and the immense amount of development input required for delivering vehicles to meet the demands of the present day. Please note this event will take place in the Sir Kenneth Wheare Hall in the Clerici Building on the Headington Campus at Oxford Brookes University.
