Dr John Lillington is Chief Technologist, Nuclear Power Generation with Serco Technical & Consulting Services. His career in the UK nuclear industry has spanned over 35 years, initially with the UKAEA, and also with its commercial arm, AEA Technology. He graduated in mathematics from the University
Description
Dr John Lillington has worked on all the principal reactor systems (water, gas and fast reactor), both as a technical specialist and as a leader of national and international programmes on reactor performance and safety. He is a part-time lecturer and examiner at several UK universities and has published two books and a number of articles on nuclear power related subjects. This talk will give an over view of the current state of nuclear power and the likely course it will take in the future.
