Description

Hybrid Electric Future Nov 2015

Sales of plug-in hybrid passenger cars have increased four-fold in the past year and the popularity of these vehicles looks set to increase with many more variants set to join the market in the coming years. But what about commercial vehicles?

Alisdair Bowie of MIRA explains the development of a hybrid electric urban commercial vehicle which used half the CO2 of a standard vehicle. The lecture will reveal how this was achieved including a description of the unique body construction, innovative power unit and how the turning circle of the vehicle was reduced to the size of a commercial van.

Come and catch a glimpse of the future of hybrid electric urban commercial vehicles that could be on a street near you soon.
