Maritime Search and Rescue can often see people and machines going into some of the most hostile conditions on Earth.
Technology to improve the safety and recovery of rescuers, lost persons and vessels is ever improving, but conversely the funding to support this development and deployment often falls behind.
This lecture will take a brief look at how different agencies in the UK work together to save lives at sea, and what kinds of technology make this job easier, safer and more effective.
