Christmas trees perform a number of functions but basically control the flow of oil from a producing well. The presentation will address the functional requirements of Christmas trees in general & will consider the technical differences between a tree designed to work under water compared to a tree to operate on the surface. We will address running & installation, control of the main components, monitoring operating conditions, interfaces with equipment down hole and access for maintenance.
