AESSEALĀ® is one of the world's leading specialists in the design and manufacture of mechanical seals and support systems.
Over the last few years during the month of October, flows from the reservoir to the 134km long aqueduct has been stopped and drained to allow a detailed internal structural survey. This presentation will take us through what was found and the remedial works completed to secure the aqueduct operation for the decades to come together with the future capital works that are programmed to take place over the next few years.
Crossrail is the largest addition to the south east rail network in 50 years. In delivering a project of this size Crossrail faces many different challenges to those of the Channel Tunnel Rail Link (CTRL). Crossrail is an urban metro service, rather than a long distance railway. It is a multiple worksite programme with construction works running concurrently across the whole route.
