Welcome to Nigeria

The Institution is  looking for a volunteer to be Country Representative and the first point of contact for Institution matters in Nigeria. The successful candidate will link with industry, universities and engineering institutions and develop the profile of engineering in-country. Planning, reporting and working to the achievement of the Institution’s objectives will be key functions and, as such, preference will be given to those members that are professionally registered with the Institution. He will be directly responsible to the Region Chair.

Nigeria, we have an established body of young members, under the umbrella of the Nigeria Young Member Section. The affairs of the section is directed by the Nigeria Young Member Section Committee, under the Chairmanship of Emmanuel Ikpatt.

    The competition is for Affiliate members, Associate members, and those Members who have been professionally registered for 10 years or fewer, and is aimed at promoting the ability to communicate mechanical engineering subjects effectively. It is specifically concerned with verbal and visual communication in describing and explaining technical subjects. It is also designed to promote interest in the art of communication.
