Fahmi Al-Shawwa
CEO of Immensa Technology Labs
Fahmi Al-Shawwa is the CEO of Immensa Technology Labs, the UAE’s leading additive manufacturing service provider specialised in the development and advancement of 3D printing in the region. Al-Shawwa is one the leading advocates of 3D printing and its beneficial uses for both industry and mechanical purposes, and is responsible for managing a multi-discipline team of engineers to ensure the ongoing success of the company.
Prior to entering the 3D printing industry in 2015, Al-Shawwa spent 18 years investing in, managing and growing companies across various sectors. He has been directly involved in structuring and managing several regional transactions with an aggregate equity value in excess of US $500 million, ranging from start-ups to mid-sized direct acquisitions.
Al-Shawwa has previously served as a member of the board of directors for Jordan Investment Trust Bank, Addax Education Holding, Edcap Investments, Ishraq Gulf Real Estate Holding and Sidra Investments for Restaurants, and is currently a member of the board for Convenience Arabia Holding and Eggspectation International. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Commerce with a major in Finance from Concordia University, Canada, and has been a Dubai resident for the past 14 years.
