This seminar is co-organised with The International Association Elevator Engineers (HK-China Branch).

The objective of this seminar is to provide an introduction to the human factors mindset.  Applying this mindset to your own projects will help you to spot human factors issues and take action to resolve them with the potential to achieve the following benefits:
Preventing accidents 
Reducing the frequency and consequence of human error 
Ensuring maintenance is efficient and thereby reducing life cycle costs 
Shortening development times 
Avoiding costly reworking

The speaker will introduce the subject of human factors and some of the key principles that can be applied to any project.  These will be illustrated through the use of case studies and examples of the application of human factors in the design process.

About the Speaker
Miss Fiona Zheng is a System Assurance and Human Factors specialist with both Mechanical Engineering and Applied Ergonomics qualifications. She is recognised for her systematic and diligent approach to perform safety, reliability, risk and human factors analysis. She has implemented projects addressing every stage of the system life cycle from design, manufacturing, testing & commissioning through to operations. She has international experience delivering projects for railway operators and project contractors in Asia, UK, Australia and the US.  Her wide knowledge of the application of system assurance and human factors processes in different countries enable her to bring the good practice to each project and develop the cost effective solutions for her clients.
