Welcome to the Oceania Region

We represent nearly 2000 Institution members across Australia, New Zealand, Papa New Guinea and beyond, providing support and putting you in touch with what you need from your Institution.

We also work with other engineering institutions to raise the profile of engineering in this region – have a look at our events page for more details. We have mutual agreements with Engineers Australia, Institute of Professional Engineers New Zealand and other international institutions; see specific country information pages for further information.

Asia Pacific Initiative

The North East Asia Region are hosting a weekend long event for IMechE members from across the Asia and Oceania Regions. The event being held in Hong Kong 13th-17th September.

The main objective of the API is to provide a chance for the young engineers to explorer their horizons, expand their social network and most importantly to enrich their personal skills to become an all-around engineering leader in the future.

Asia Pacific Initiative (API) is comprised of three major events, namely:

(i) Asia-Pacific Regional Design Contest,
(ii) Asia-Pacific Regional Speak Out for Engineering and
(iii) Asia-Pacific Regional Young Leadership Conference (YLC)
