 Centre 2015 Prize will present their work.\n\nDescription : The Western Ae
 rospace Centre is running its annual prize competition to encourage the fu
 rther professional development of young engineers living and working in th
 e West of England and South Wales. The competition finalists will be prese
 nting their contributions to leading edge research and development project
 s to a panel that will include engineering directors from the region&rsquo
 \;s leading Aerospace organisations. The presentation topics are:\n\n    \
 n    Laura Edwards\, University of Bristol. Structural Magnetic Composites
  for use in electro-mechanical applications\; \n\n\n    Rafael Luterbacher
 \, University of Bristol. Towards self-healing materials for aircraft appl
 ications\;\n    Ryan Marks\, Cardiff University. Using Genetic Algorithms 
 to optimise an active sensor network on a stiffened aerospace panel with 3
 D scanning laser vibrometry data.\n\n\n\nAttendance at the competition eve
 ning will offer an excellent opportunity to support professional developme
 nt\, network with senior Aerospace representatives ​​and to learn&nbsp\;mo
 re about research and development in the South West Aerospace community.\n
