 and was Head of Engineering Design at the Royal Naval Engineering College\
 , Dartmouth.\n\nDescription : In 1912 there occurred a shipping disaster o
 f such proportions that we are still talking and speculating about it over
  one hundred years later. Over 1400 people lost their lives in a ship that
  was at the peak of modern technology at that time. On the face of it\, it
  was a gross failure in engineering design and nautical practice This talk
  covers the circumstances that led to TITANIC&rsquo\;s creation\, her coll
 ision\, and her eventual loss\, with particular emphasis on engineering an
 d the role that engineers played in her short life - dispelling many of th
 e popular myths that surround this tragedy. The illustrated talk lasts 45
