 wing a successful involvement last year the IMechE Devon and Somerset Comm
 ittee is again supporting the Sidmouth Science Festival this year.\nIt is 
 the fourth year for the Festival\, which is aimed at all age groups althou
 gh focussing on young people\; this year the theme is &ldquo\;Science in o
 ur Lives&rdquo\; and it promises to be bigger than ever.  It runs from the
  7th to 18th October and includes various talks and events including engag
 ement with local schools and colleges aimed at raising the profile of STEM
  subjects\, hopefully encouraging young people into science and engineerin
 g as a profession.  This year the IMechE talk will take place on Saturday 
 17th October and is being given by Dr. Jenifer Baxter\, Energy and Environ
 ment Theme Manager and its topic is &ldquo\;Water&rdquo\;!\n\nwww.sidmouth
