 lex Henshaw&rsquo\;s story started with his adventures in the Golden Age o
 f Flying. As the youngest amateur he won the King&rsquo\;s Cup Air Race an
 d then achieved the record solo flight from London to Cape Town and back i
 n four and a half days with just a compass\, a chronometer and a set of ma
 ps from the AA.\n\n\nHe served in the war as Chief Production Test Pilot f
 or Vickers Supermarine personally testing more than 3\,000 Spitfires and t
 he occasional Lancaster. He finished his flying career marketing aircraft 
 in South Africa where he experienced his last epic flight.\n\nTony Edwards
  is a Rolls-Royce apprenticed engineer who has led a number of technology-
 based companies in the USA\, Canada\, Denmark and the UK &ndash\; General 
 Electric (USA)\, Motorola\, Bombardier / Canadair\, Lucas Aerospace and Me
 ssier-Dowty. He put together the latter as the only European based aerospa
 ce equipment company with a global market share of more than 50%. Later\, 
 he was seconded to the MoD where he served as Head of DESO (Defence Export
  Services Organisation)\nHe gained an MBA with Distinction from the Harvar
 d Business School and then joined the faculty as a lecturer. More recently
  he was a Visiting Professor at the UK Defence Academy.\n\n\nHe has served
  as a trustee for a number of charities connected to the armed forces and 
 he has been responsible for raising several million pounds for these chari
 ties.\nUniquely\, he was elected President of the SBAC (Society of British
  Aerospace Companies)\, President of the Royal Aeronautical Society and Ch
 airman of the Air League. He was presented with The Air League Gold Medal 
 by the Duke of Edinburgh for Services to the Cause of Aviation.\n\nContact
