  across the region. Join us for&nbsp\;the Technical Lecture and Networking
  Event with FREE Hot Buffet and Cream Teas.\n\nThe Institution of Mechanic
 al Engineers (IMechE) would like to invite you tothe re-launch of&nbsp\;ou
 t Corwnall branch.&nbsp\; The\ncommittee seeks to bring together aspiring\
 , developing\, and experienced\nengineers\, and members of the general pub
 lic to promote the benefits and\nachievements of the engineering professio
 n.&nbsp\;\nAt present\, the committee is based in Plymouth\, but we have a
 mbitious\nplans to expand our reach across the region.&nbsp\;\nAs such\, o
 n 1st June we are re launching the Cornwall branch of\nthe committee.\nTo 
 mark the occasion\, we have organised an event at the Alverton Hotel to pr
 ovide an\nexciting networking opportunity with&nbsp\;FREE&nbsp\;pasties an
 d cream teas with an insightful and exciting presentation from Robert Back
 us&nbsp\;of Bristows Group 'State of the Art Search and Rescue' \nWe hope 
 that\nthis will capture people&rsquo\;s imagination and inspire them to su
 pport the activities of the IMechE\nby joining our committee.&nbsp\; This 
 FREE\nevent is open to members\, non-member and the general public \nThe n
 ewly formed\nCornwall branch will organise a wide portfolio of events and 
 activities\, most\nof which will be open to the general public and free to
  attend.&nbsp\; These will include evening lectures for\ngeneral interest\
 ; technical visits to local engineering firms\; social and\nprofessional n
 etworking events\; engineering competitions\; and mentoring\nopportunities
  for local students and professional engineers.\nIn addition\, the\ncommit
 tee will engage with local schools to support the teaching of Science\,\nT
 echnology\, Engineering\, and Mathematics (STEM) subjects and offer career
 s\nadvice to young students.\n\nThis event is&nbsp\;FREE&nbsp\;and&nbsp\;o
