 al&nbsp\;lecture at&nbsp\;IMERYS Minerals site in&nbsp\;\nPar\, Cornwall.\
 n\nJoin us on the&nbsp\;7th of July from 1830 - 2000&nbsp\;\nfor&nbsp\;a&n
 bsp\;technical&nbsp\; lecture&nbsp\;&nbsp\;IMERYS Par site. We&nbsp\; will
 \nhave the opportunity to learn&nbsp\;how mining has&nbsp\;changed over th
 e years and it&nbsp\;will provide a brilliant insight into the modern day 
 mining techniques&nbsp\;\nused by IMERYS. \n\nWe are very fortunate to hav
 e Ashley Shopland&nbsp\;delivering the lecture - IMERYS UK&rsquo\;s\n&nbsp
 \; Platform Business Unit General Manager.\n\n\nWe hope that this lecutre\
 nwill capture people&rsquo\;s imagination and inspire&nbsp\;you to support
  the\n&nbsp\; activities of the IMechE by joining or helping the local\n&n
 bsp\; area&nbsp\;committee.&nbsp\; This FREE event is open to members\, no
 n-member and\n&nbsp\; the general public. \n\nThe committee seeks to bring
  together aspiring\, developing\, and experienced&nbsp\;\nengineers\, as w
 ell as members of the general public in order to promote the&nbsp\;\nbenef
 its and achievements of the engineering profession.\n\n\nThe newly&nbsp\;f
 ormed&nbsp\;Cornwall branch will\n&nbsp\; organise a wide portfolio of eve
 nts and activities\, most of which will be open&nbsp\;\nto the general pub
 lic and free to attend.&nbsp\; These&nbsp\;events will include\n&nbsp\; ev
 ening lectures for general interest\; technical visits to\nlocal&nbsp\;eng
 ineering firms\; social and professional networking events\;\nengineering 
 competitions\; and mentoring opportunities for local students and\nprofess
 ional engineers.\n\n\nIn addition\, the&nbsp\;committee will engage with&n
 bsp\;\nlocal schools to support the teaching of Science\, Technology\, Eng
 ineering\, and&nbsp\;\nMathematics (STEM) subjects and offer careers advic
