 ak Details: The GreenPower educational trust promotes sustainable engineer
 ing to young people through the F24 racing initiative.\n\nDescription : De
 ar members\, this is a call for scrutineers and general volunteers to supp
 ort this established schools engineering project for a day of racing elect
 ric cars at Castle Combe. This is a great way to encourage pupils to consi
 der a career in engineering and a good day out. IMechE members have suppor
 ted this event for many years.\nThe F24 event consists of two 90 minute ra
 ces for 11-16 year olds. A single pair of car batteries power an electric 
 motor driven car. &nbsp\;An F24+ (more senior) race occurs between these r
 aces.&nbsp\;The car teams have had to design\, fundraise\, build\, program
  and learn to drive their car to maximise the distance within the 90 minut
 es from the limited battery power available\nVolunteer roles include scrut
 ineering (safety checks of cars)\, pit lane marshalling\, prize judging an
 d more. Early start for scrutineering if you can make it but help is requi
 red all through the day.&nbsp\; It is a fun day and no experience is neces
