  (ubisense.net) will explain how different techniques are used to integrat
 e location into the daily operations of businesses across the world. Locat
 ion is needed to track vehicles as they move through a production process.
  Live geospatial data is required by field technicians employed by cable a
 nd utility companies. Ubisense are now designing systems and providing loc
 ation data for Internet of Things applications. The talk will give an over
 view of how to source location data.\n\n\nPaul Webster is an experienced s
 ystems designer and manages the hardware development and manufacturing tea
 m at Ubisense. He studied Computer Science at the University of Manchester
 \, where he was awarded the Professor&rsquo\;s Prize and the Kilburn Prize
  for outstanding academic achievement. He went on to receive his PhD in &l
 squo\;Analogue and Mixed-mode Simulation&rsquo\;\, before joining AT&amp\;
 T Laboratories in Cambridge. There\, he worked on the early systems softwa
 re and middleware for the innovative &lsquo\;Sentient Computing&rsquo\; pr
 oject\, exploring potential applications for location-based computing\, an
 d led a number of sensor-based projects including a highly reconfigurable 
 32-bit processor with a novel power-optimising tool chain\, a range of pio
 neering networked appliances\, and a high-performance low-power wireless m
