 In 2016\, steam locomotive Flying Scotsman returned to mainline running fo
 llowing a prolonged period of overhaul since its purchase by the National 
 Railway Museum in 2004. Following the contract award in October 2013\, the
  final overhaul to deliver the locomotive to mainline running condition wa
 s undertaken\, which is the subject of this presentation. It includes the 
 project and engineering management arrangements implemented to deal with t
 he multiple stakeholders\, and\, the processes and the issues arising to f
 inally deliver the locomotive to running condition. \n\nOur speaker\, Mike
  Corbett was the project manager for the final restoration period of Flyin
 g Scotsman. He has had many years as a senior engineering manager and dire
 ctor within the rail industry\, and now operates a part time engineering c
 onsultancy. He is a Fellow of this institution\, a Fellow of the Instituti
 on of Engineering and Technology and a Member of the Association of Projec
