 ions.\n\nKincardine Floating Offshore Windfarm is the world&rsquo\;s large
 st grid-connected floating windfarm.&nbsp\; It&rsquo\;s turbines\, at arou
 nd 190 metres tall\, are also the largest turbines to be placed on floatin
 g substructures. Kincardine has proven the technological and commercial re
 adiness of floating offshore wind and the lessons learned and experiences 
 gained are renowned globally.\n\nFlotation Energy has bases in both Edinbu
 rgh and Aberdeen\, and have been a significant contributor to building a s
 trong offshore wind industry in the UK and beyond with a growing project p
 ipeline. They manage 13GW of offshore wind projects across the UK\, Irelan
 d\, Taiwan\, Japan and Australia\, with plans to expand into many more key
  markets.\nFlotation Energy has arranged for a boat trip (duration ~ 2.5 h
 rs) for IMechE members (18 or over) to visit Kincardine Floating Offshore 
 Windfarm\, located 15 km off the Aberdeen coast.\n\nDuring your visit\, Fl
 oatation Energy will introduce &amp\; discuss the Green Volt and Cenos Flo
 ating Offshore Wind developments\, both located in the North Sea. They wil
 l deliver renewable electricity to oil and gas platforms by replacing elec
 tricity currently generated by gas turbines\, while simultaneously deliver
 ing renewable electricity to the UK grid.\n\nThese nationally significant 
 projects will make a significant contribution to the North Sea Transition 
 Deal&rsquo\;s goal to halve offshore emissions by 2030\, as well as to the
  UK&rsquo\;s overall goal to reduce carbon emissions. In total the project
 s will reduce CO2 emissions by 3 million tonnes every year once fully oper
 ational.\nBooking Information\n\n\nPlease meet at IQ Building\, Justice Mi
 ll Lane\, Aberdeen at your allocated start time.&nbsp\; You will be collec
 ted by minibus. You will be transported back here after the trip.\nThe fir
 st trip leaves promptly at 10am on Saturday 22nd June. If the first trip r
 eaches capacity we will organise a later trip leaving at 1pm\, we also hav
 e the option for a third trip leaving at 4pm.\nHi-vis jackets and life jac
 kets will be provided\, no other PPE is required.\nPlease book as soon as 
 possible and places are likely to fill up quickly\, we will notify you of 
 the trip time you have been allocated (10am\, 1pm or 4pm) prior to the eve
 nt (as soon as we are able to).\nIf you cannot make one or more of the tim

  book. If possible\, we will look to accommodate you in one of the other s
 lots.\nThere is no cost to you for this trip. However\, Flotation Energy h
