  is often perceived as being\nboring and sustainable materials thought of 
 as somehow inferior to\ntraditional materials.&nbsp\;\nThe WorldF3rst raci
 ng project was established to disband those\nmyths and show just what coul
 d be achieved with sustainable\, natural and\nrecycled materials.&nbsp\;\n
 Using a F3 race car as a real world demonstrator has pushed\npreviously un
 considered materials into the demanding motorsport arena\nand they are per
 forming as well as more traditional materials such as\ncarbon fibre.&nbsp\
 ;\nThis talk will present the origins of the WorldF3rst car\; discuss\nthe
  different technologies that were adopted and look at how the\nproject has
  demonstrated sustainable materials can be competitive in the\nmarketplace
 .&nbsp\;\nIt will also present what the future opportunities in the area a
 re.\n\nJoint Lecture with IET.&nbsp\; Open to all. Non-members welcome. Ta
