 Centre 2014 Prize will present their work.\n\nDescription : The Western Ae
 rospace Centre is running its annual prize competition to encourage the fu
 rther professional development of young engineers living and working in th
 e West of England and South Wales. The competition finalists will be prese
 nting their contributions to leading edge research and development project
 s to a panel that will include engineering directors from the region&rsquo
 \;s leading Aerospace organisations. The presentation topics are:\n\n    S
 olagne Baena\, Airbus and Cranfield University. Nature and effects of ice 
 accretion in the performance of centrifugal pumps\;\n    Guilllaume Franco
 is\, University of Bristol. Novel structural designs of composite wings\;\
 n    James Kratz\, University of Bristol. Development of sustainable vacuu
 m-bag-only manufacturing processes for composite aerospace structures\;\n 
    Ali Mokrane\, Stirling Dynamics Ltd. Novel analysis and design tools fo
 r nonlinear helicopter ground resonance prediction.\n\nAttendance at the c
 ompetition evening will offer an excellent opportunity to support professi
 onal development\, network with senior Aerospace representatives ​​and to 
 learn&nbsp\;more about research and development in the South West Aerospac
 e community.\n\nThe event will be held on Thursday 15th May 2014\, 18:00 f
