Kat, an engineering graduate working on a new wire additive manufacturing facility. © Lockheed Martin UK LtdA collaborative event between Lockheed Martin, Cranfield University and next generation women in engineering celebrating local grass root initiatives that recognise and encourage women in engineering through inspiring students (and teachers) in STEM related subjects.

Dr Helen MeeseThe evening will feature presentations from local organisations and educational establishments to highlight achievements made by women in engineering. The event will also feature keynote speaker Dr Helen Meese CEng MIMechE, Head of Engineering in Society, Institution of Mechanical Engineers who will explore the wider issue of engaging school students in engineering and the challenges associated with doing so.

Date: Thursday 19th November

Time: Refreshments from 6:30pm. Talk starts at 7pm. Concluding by 8.30pm following questions.

Venue: The Gallery, CMRI (Cranfield Management Research Institute), Building 38, Cranfield School of Management, Cranfield, Bedford, MK43 0AL (directions)(map and visitor info)

Parking: Guests welcome to use any car park around CMRI Building 38

Free to attend. All welcome (male and female!). Limited spaces, so booking is required - please register to attend this event. If you have booked but can no longer attend, please let us know so we can pass on your place to someone else.

This talk is open to the public and you are encouraged to pass on this invitation to your colleagues, friends, family and students who are interested in engaging and promoting women in engineering initiatives.
